USER RATE INCREASE

On September 25, 2024 the Coolin Sewer District Board of Directors held a rate increase public hearing for quarterly user fees. The Board heard from District customers and further reviewed the Wastewater User Rate Study - Tech Memo 3.15.24 completed by Keller Associates. After discussion, the Board voted and approved the proposed 3-year plan provided by Keller Associates. The first increase of 25% will go into effect on March 1, 2025. See the spreadsheet model below for forecasted rates and ending fund balances.

Please note the spreadsheet is calculating January and February of 2025 at the increased rate.

See the 8/23/24 & 9/25/24 meeting minutes for discussion about the rate increase.

CONNECTION FEE STUDY

Below you will find a copy of the 2024 Connection Fee Study, completed by Keller Associates. The Board was presented this study on 10/2/24. An increase to the current $5,000 connection fee has NOT been decided or approved.

The "Recommended Maximum Connection Fee per ERU" is based on infrastructure costs, across the current number of connections. That number is not being recommended to the Board as a new connection fee, it's the highest the connection fee could be.

The Board plans to discuss and possibly approve a new connection fee in the near future. Any discussion/consideration of approval will be listed on a meeting agenda.

See the 10/2/24 meeting minutes for discussion about the Connection Fee Study.
